A lot of people really doesn't know what they want in life.

That's sad.

kings of their little own worlds

I have experienced firsthand the congregation of lazy ppl in the office, those false heralders hypocrites who hold up the banner of priotising student interests. But when it comes to getting something done, everyone just want to get it over with in the fastest possible way, who will really go the extra mile just for you?

This is exactly why i dont mind being labelled as crazy, wild, or deviant. This is why i dont like to be totally eating pasta and becoming angmoh-fied or listen to age-old traditions of the chinese. I am flexible, i can swerve within and around and i do not need a fixed status. Some rules are meant to be kept, some meant to be modified and changed.

I do not wish to be associated with these hypocrites, whom at the slightest notion of deviance from their own beliefs, could go all the way out to exterminate the other party. False acts of heroism, false acts of self assurances. Now's that SCARY.

I enjoy listening to people from all over the world, holding interesting conversations with interesting people. But i absolutely cannot tolerate low self esteemed, jealous bitchy people. I guess being straightforward is more of my thing.

Went for sde bash yest night. It was fun, but 98% of the ppl there asked; "did u come for the bash?"

fuck, singaporeans need to get out of their comfort zone, But oh they are oh so very afraid, afraid because they do not know what they will become once they've experience a different kind of lifestyle.

take smoking for eg, all my friends should know of my stance against smoking. Majority of the public out there will screw up their noses and fuck u behind their backs just because you were smoking a cigaratte and that social image doesn't fit in with them. These are your "nice goodie two shoes ppl" who, behind your backs, could be smoking marijuana. So Smoking = bad? Yes bad for health and image, but i guess its the image that people are more concerned about really.

So kings of your own little world, its about time to wear your walking shoes.

jamming with the rest revealed so many areas of improvement.

Vocals:
Acceptable - Vibrato, transition into falsetto, body movement

Needs lots and lots of training - Breath management, breath control, finding a comfortable key, diapharagm singing, range building, warm up exercises.

Vocals is an instrument. There are licks, there are improvisations. It also needs to be taken care of.

Guitar:
Acceptable - stage presence, rhythm, simple licks, vibrato, shreding.

Need training - guitar techniques like bending, harmonics, divebombs, tapping. Picking techniques, alternative, alternating, and hammer & pull offs.

On the bright side, my floyd rose bridge is finally fixed and it doesnt sound weird anymore. $60 well spent. I did learn some repairing skills from beez.

Jamms are good. Now's for the tighten and repertoire.

Pressure's rising. Sourcing for gigs proved to be somewhat successful. Here's some of the events we are looking at

- NUS Engine Valentine's day
- NUS SDE Valentine's day
- NUS Vanity Fair
- NUS Project Carousel - March 21st Vivocity
- Mongolia Charity Gig
- NUS Jam fest (tentative)

Pretty good start for the band.

Of course, there are other immense tasks i have at hand too.

I do not believe in failures, i believe in lessons that can only make u stronger.

2009 was one hell of a learning year, relationship and straightalking wise.

Happy 2010 everyone

Did a reality check and i know where i stand as of now.

Its scary sometimes when u figure who watches u from the sidelines and secretly understands every single detail of your life but this person was never in your best fren list.

So blogs, are they still a place where you write about the experiences of your life or a a ground where ppl can draw ammunition to hit you where it hurts? The psyche of human beings, privacy is becoming a commodity.

You do not feel safe writing freely on your personal website. Because its a dog-eat-dog world. Any single sentence could become a bane on your professional life.

But if you can not even write freely, and you are writing to cater to people, den wouldnt that defeat the purpose of writing at all?

hmm once again, it is proven that as long as i am willing to spend that little bit of effort i did, i can achieve what i want. Problem is, i am too detached with the world to truly care. Its the underlying problem of the society that irks me and to know that i am just a social tool is ultimately an embarassment.

So let's see, why do we guys study so hard? No doubt to get a good degree and hence a good job and thus secure a livable future for ourselves, our parents and our kids. Those little As on your transcripts prove to be an academic reflection of your capabilities to absorb, memorise theories and regurgitate them. Throw any single one of us uni kids into a cauldron that requires instant critical thinking to escape from, 90% of us will probably become the witch's potion ingredients.

My point here is, we care too much. About our results, about how resumes and presentations look, about what our future chances are, that we get stuck in this mental cycle so necessararily crucial to propel the engines of our economies. That's why there are only these few rich people in this world.

I love Hong Sui Sen library, not because of the fact that it is a place filled with muggers during the exam period, but because it is a treasure trove of books waiting for ppl to discover. We are more hidden, i would say, as compared to Smu but it still takes some motivation from ourselves.

Detached, the word of the week.

And to all you lured by the consumerism of xmas and its "its a season to be joyous lalala" bull crap, well 2010 is not going to be a year of revelry either.

Meantime, enjoy the so-called freedom! Hols are ending
